The Thirst Project is “a movement of high school and college students that exists to raise awareness of and bring solutions to the clean water crisis...” Twenty-eight of the JBHS Powerhouse students were invited to perform at the 4th Annual Thirst Gala on June 24th. The event was hosted by Kirsten Vangsness from “Criminal Minds.” The evening’s Guest of Honor was Pauley Perrette from “NCIS.”
New Powerhouse member and Senior Connor Bond had this to say about it: “The Thirst Project Gala was an incredible experience! It was an honor to perform at such a big event and to be apart of a celebration of the achievements of such a worthwhile and inspiring organization. We all had a blast performing! It was cool and unique to perform in the audience and see the audience's reaction when they were only a few feet away from us! I thought it was special to be a part of such an awesome and fun evening and I loved every moment of it!”
Powerhouse helped to raise over $200,000 and performed with Nashville singer/songwriter Jenn Bostic.
